Done as a project to explore the idea of using air space above existing built environment.
The project works with the vertical plane of a Manhattan building. The method employed uses the acts of shifting and moving the façade to unfold a new spatial typology. The primary investigation of the site and the surface of the elevation led to this idea of segregating and looking at a building as a sum of its elevation. These components have been then re arranged – and newer activities – for the vertical plane of the elevation have been imagined.
