Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industries (MCHI) organised this National level competition for designing a high-density urban housing typology for the Indian context.
The idea for this residential high rise typology was to create density by introducing a walk able design in the vertical core. The idea of navigating the whole built form with a ramp that runs from the bottom of the building to the top drove the design process. The intersection of the ramp with the skin of the building leads to the creation of spaces like temples, amphitheatres etc. The project won the third prize – and was exhibited at MCHI Exhibitions in Mumbai. The Honourable Chief Minister and other dignitaries awarded the prize.
